Catherine Lindsay, 91, Longtime Maywood Resident

MAYWOOD, N.J. — Longtime Maywood resident Catherine (Craig) Lindsay died Wednesday, May 11. She was 91. 

She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack. 

An active member of her community, she was a member and past president of the Woman’s Club of Maywood, member and past treasurer of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, served as a troop and pack leader with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and was a student of The Art School at Old Church in Demarest. 

Prior to retiring, she was an executive assistant with A.C. Nielsen Market Research in Hackensack for 25 years. 

Lindsay is survived by her children and their spouses, Kathleen Galatro and her husband Garry, Dennis Lindsay and his wife Kathleen and Elizabeth Galatro and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Bryan Galatro and his wife Kim, Nicole Lowe and her husband Brian, Katelyn Galatro, Jennifer Addeo and her husband Mike, Kristen Roberts and her husband Jason, Graham Galatro and Tori Galatro; brother, Thomas "Buddy" Craig; and great-grandchildren Chase, Cedar, Skyler, Addison, Jordan, Kyle, Gavin, Lily, Anna and Sam.

Lindsay was predeceased by her husband, Norman Lindsay.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to noon Monday with a service following at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.

Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
